Niagara Falls, July 1, 2025 – On  Canada Day, at the invitation of the Niagara Falls City Government, the Shaanxi Association of Canada organized nearly 70 members to charter a bus and coordinate 10 self-driving cars to go to Firemen’s Park at 7 a.m. and presented a wonderful opening performance from early morning until 7 p.m., igniting passion for the National Day celebrations with the unique Shaanxi culture, which was the dazzling highlight of the day.
Niagara Falls, July 1, 2025 – On  Canada Day, at the invitation of the Niagara Falls City Government, the Shaanxi Association of Canada organized nearly 70 members to charter a bus and coordinate 10 self-driving cars to go to Firemen’s Park at 7 a.m. and presented a wonderful opening performance from early morning until 7 p.m., igniting passion for the National Day celebrations with the unique Shaanxi culture, which was the dazzling highlight of the day.
Under the organization of the Shaanxi Association Council, the Shaanxi Association's drum band, waist drum band, Yangge dance team and Huashan Tai Chi Society members appeared together. Focusing on the theme of "National Day hot Yangge dance, waterfall drum music excitement", the performance combined the rhythmic drum music, the soothing and elegant Tai Chi, the passionate and unrestrained northern Shaanxi Yangge and the rough and heroic Ansai waist drum. This event vividly demonstrated the profound heritage and unique charm of Shaanxi culture and presented an audio-visual feast of tradition and modernity to the audience on site and online, as well.

The food tasting event organized by the Shaanxi Association was also very popular. The authentic Shaanxi cold noodles and Roujiamo attracted many community residents of different ethnicities to taste them. These authentic flavors not only conquered the taste buds of the audience but also became a bridge to promote understanding and love of Chinese culture


The success of this event was supported by the title sponsor OnFresh, Xifeng Liquor and Ai Xue Food, which fully demonstrated the firm commitment of the hometown association and sponsors to promote cultural exchanges. The Canadian federal government provided significant funding for this event through the New Horizons for Seniors Program, highlighting its positive role in promoting community integration and cultural inclusion.

On the magnificent backdrop of Niagara Falls, Firemen's Park was filled with a strong sense of cultural pride and a harmonious community atmosphere, attracting countless audiences to stop and appreciate and participate. As the opening highlight of the Niagara Falls National Day Celebration, the wonderful performance of the Shaanxi Association of Canada not only added luster to Canada's National Day, but also through vivid performances and food sharing, it profoundly strengthened the cultural ties between the Chinese community and the Niagara region and showed the unique charm and contemporary style of Chinese culture to the world.
