The Shaanxi Association of Canada visited the Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to discuss the development of overseas Shaanxi Chinese community.

Gao Rong, Secretary General of the Shaanxi Association of Canada, visited the Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to discuss the development of overseas Shaanxi Chinese communities.

(News from the Shaanxi Association of Canada) On the afternoon of February 26, 2025, Gao Rong, Secretary General of the Shaanxi Association of Canada, was entrusted by President Zhou Zhijun to visit the Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and had in-depth work exchanges with Chairman Shang Xiaohong and Minister Lei Bo of the Information Department of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The discussion lasted for more than two hours.

During the discussion, Secretary General Gao Rong reported in detail on the development of the Shaanxi Association of Canada in recent years, especially the work achievements in cultural communication, Chinese community construction and youth training. Chairman Shang Xiaohong and Minister Lei Bo highly praised the efforts of the association and especially affirmed the important role of the Ansai Waist Drum Project in promoting northern Shaanxi culture overseas, and the positive influence of the Shaanxi Second Generation Overseas Students Club in gathering young Chinese and inheriting Shaanxi culture.

This meeting not only deepened the connection between the Shaanxi Association of Canada and the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese but also laid a good foundation for future cooperation between the two sides in cultural promotion, development of Chinese communities, and training of young talents. In the future, the Association will continue to promote cultural exchanges between China and Canada, unite overseas compatriots, and contribute to the prosperity and development of the Chinese community.
