On February 2, 2025, the grand “2025 Shaanxi Spring Festival Gala,” meticulously organized by the Canadian Shaanxi Association, was held at Dragon Pearl Restaurant in Markham, Greater Toronto Area. This magnificent New Year celebration brought together over 300 fellow Shaanxi natives, all gathered to welcome the Year of the Snake. The evening featured a rich array of programs and spectacular performances, with the venue filled with a strong sense of hometown joy.

The grand drum performance kicked off the event. In sports and martial arts, Du Yunfeng, head of the Huashan Tai Chi Society, showcased the charm of martial arts through this Chinese treasure, promoting physical and mental well-being. In technology and media support, Li Suijian, Technical Supervisor of the Shaanxi Association's public platform, contributes to the association's online promotion and technical infrastructure. Chief Photographer Zhou Jun captures every precious moment of the association's activities through his lens, preserving these invaluable memories. The outstanding contributions of these exceptional members in their respective fields enrich the activities of the Shaanxi Association of Canada, unite the broader Shaanxi community, and allow Shaanxi culture to flourish overseas.

This grand event was not only a joyous gathering but also a cultural celebration brimming with warmth and strength. Honoring elders and, the event specially invited seniors aged 65 and above to take the stage for group photos and receive gifts, expressing the highest respect. A donation ceremony for senior housing was also held, where guests generously contributed to support elders in enjoying their golden years, ensuring the enduring legacy of traditional Chinese virtues overseas.
