Telecom and online fraud refers to deceptive practices that aim to illegally obtain private or public property through remote, non-contact methods using telecommunications and internet technologies. Middle-aged and elderly individuals are often primary targets for fraudsters, who exploit their potentially limited ability to identify scams and protect their rights, ultimately attempting to steal their retirement savings.
The Shaanxi Association of Canada has developed a comprehensive fraud series lectures prevention program to address various types of online scams prevalent in today's society. We will have enlisted professional experts to enhance the financial security of middle-aged and elderly groups through three key aspects:
- Strengthening fraud prevention awareness
- Minimizing potential losses
- Protecting legal rights
Our goal is to help seniors safely use digital devices and online services while avoiding fraud.
